What Is a CRM system and How To Find The Right One For Your Business?

CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management and refers to the technology that helps businesses keep track of leads, projects, employees, and more. With so many CRM systems on the market, it can be difficult to find the right one for your business. Some of them are too complicated and come with a hefty price tag, while others are not well-suited for your industry. Luckily, Sunrise Coding is here to help you make this decision! We'll discuss what CRM systems are in general, how to find the best one for you and integrate it into your website using Wix Velo coding.

Who Needs A CRM System?

If you’re reading my post, chances are you either already run your own company or you’re doing work that requires a high level of organization. Either way, you understand how important it is to keep track of clients and contacts. For example, if you want to refer a new customer to another consultant in your field, wouldn’t it be nice if all of their contact information was at your fingertips? That’s where CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems come in. They allow us to store names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses – everything we need to know about our customers. In short: they make our lives easier! But which CRM solution should you choose?

What To Look For In A CRM System

There are a lot of different CRM systems on offer today but finding one that’s right for your business can be tough. Here are 6 key things to look out for when deciding which CRM system is best for you.

They include:

1) Is it easy to use?

2) Does the system offer the features needed?

3) Are there prebuilt integrations?

4) Do they offer API documentation so that you can code a custom integration if needed?

5) How much does it cost per month / per user?

With so many options available on all five criteria, it can be hard to know where to start; luckily we've put together some simple guides that walk you through everything from data protection to calculating ROI on your customer relationship management solution.

How Do I Use a CRM System?

As you run your business, it's important to keep track of customer data. With too much information cluttering your brain or tucked away in Excel spreadsheets, it can be hard to keep things organized. One way to make using your CRM system easier would be to integrate it with your website. This means that if someone completes a form on your website, this information should be saved on your website - but also sent to your CRM system. This eliminates the need for you to keep adding new contacts to your CRM system manually. When it comes to actually using the CRM system, every system is entirely different. One platform might offer every feature you can think of, plus more - while other platforms may be simpler to be used essentially as an address book. Luckily, I've signed up for far more than 30+ different CRM systems and can help with most if not all configurations between these systems - so if you ever need help we're just a chat message away.

Integrating a CRM System Into Your Wix Website

You'll first want to make sure that your CRM system offers API documentation for their platform. API documentation tells a developer how to interact with their platform - behind the scenes with code. By studying the CRM systems API documentation, you can see every feature that can be custom coded within an integration between your Wix website and their platform. This can range from creating a new contact in the platform to updating a booked appointment. When you receive this information on your website, it would be a great cost of time to have to manually update this information into your CRM system so that your records are accurate. Integrations or custom coded functions between your Wix website and your CRM platform is how we can fix this issue so that you're not chasing down records to be updated. As I had mentioned before, each CRM system is entirely different in terms of what they offer and which features can be integrated into your website. For help on specific integrations, please feel free to reach out to us and we'll be more than happy to provide free consulting to help teach how your CRM system can be integrated into your website.

Is a CRM System Really Worth It?

If you’re thinking about purchasing or creating a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, it’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed by all of your options. You might be wondering if it’s really worth your time or effort; after all, there are lots of businesses out there that seem to be doing just fine without one. Our first piece of advice? Talk to other entrepreneurs who have used a system before making any decisions. Don’t make a hasty decision based on hearsay alone! These businesses can tell you what they liked about their systems—and what they didn't like so much. Also - please know that many CRM systems do offer free trials, even without the need to enter any payment information. With these free trials, you can keep searching across different platforms to see all of their various features as well as their different user interface layouts with no risk.
